　　隨時搜集匯整一些美髮『技術書』、『網頁』常見的英文用語，讓自己多接觸、常記錄、多使用、廣分享，我確信不怕多、不怕難，只要有心、日積月累必可讓自己有更多的見聞，因為第一手資料的穫取是不容遲緩的。

Macrofibril：大纖維

An attempt has been made to obtain intact individual keratin filaments of various levels from micron cortical, micron macrofibril to nano intermediate filament and polypeptide alpha-helix from the human hair shaft.
Micron cortical and macrofibril filaments細絲 have been obtained得到公認.
The composite structure of hair at the nanometre scale was addressed using a particle–based model for a macrofibril.
A macrofibril is roughly 7 nanometers in diameter.
Hundreds of these macrofibrils are cemented into an irregular bundle called a macrofibril.

Male pattern baldness：男性的禿頭模式-Male pattern baldness is caused by a genetic sensitivity of hair follicles to DHT, which causes them to shrink when exposed to it. This shortens their lifespan and prevents them from producing hair normally.

With male pattern baldness these hairs do not always get replaced and gradually bald areas appear.
Most men are genetically predisposed to male pattern baldness.
This is the effect of hormones on the hair follicle that produces male pattern baldness.
The pattern of hair loss in women differs from male pattern baldness.
While many people with male pattern baldness choose to accept the condition as they accepted their hair color or shape.

Mannequin head：假人頭(模特兒頭)

A hair growing mannequin head for practicing hair styling and hair cutting.
The inventive device includes a mannequin head having a removable hair supply assembly mounted thereon for dispensing hair from an upper portion of the mannequin head.
A hair growing mannequin head comprising:a mannequin head portion; and, a hair supply means removably mounted to an upper portion of the mannequin head portion.
Mannequin head is used to show hair wigs.
This mannequin head can be useful for students or hairstylist it can be used for perms roller sets and finger.

Mascara：睫毛刷、睫毛膏

The present invention provides a mascara makeup tool which enables mascara to be applied easily, surely, and quickly to lashes of different thicknesses and lengths.
A few makeup application tips can help you get the most out of your mascara.

Replace mascara every three months. As mascara is a breeding ground for bacteria, most tube and wand mascaras have an antibacterial agent in them that lasts about 6 weeks.
Most mascara comes in brown or black - brunettes are normally told to use black mascara, blondes are to use brown mascara.
Black goes for everyone and everywhere. Black mascara is universal!
Begin by lightly brushing the mascara tip back and forth across the lower lashes. Then brush mascara on the upper lashes.

A traditional wet shave with hot towels and face massage.
Now while using the shampoo, first apply it on hair with slow massageso that it could reach to every part of head and hairs.
Scalp massage helps maintain a healthy blood circulation so the hair follicles get what they need.
If your hair is very oily you may need to decrease the number of times you do a scalp massage.
This scalp massageis particularly effective in increasing blood circulation as well as in stimulating glands and muscles.

Matrix of hair：毛母

There was few fibronectin-immunoreactions in the extracellular matrix of hair follicles of newborn rats.
Our Microscopic Analysis combined with halogen-magenta lighting allows us to see the reproducing matrix of hair cells.
Extensive bleaching, perming and dyeing may damage the protein matrix of hair allowing a portion of the drug from the hair to be extracted, lowering the final quantitative result with certain drugs.
Electrolysis is a hair removal method that uses electric impulses as a means to chemically separate the bonded matrix of hair follicles which eventually destroys or weakens the hair.

Medium：中間的,中等的,適中的

The primary advantage of a medium haircut is that there are many styles possible.
Many professionals feel as if choppy hairstyles are most appropriate on the hair that is medium in length.
This straight medium style with textured tousled edges is the perfect look for a high fashion vixen.
The wavy medium hairstyle is fabulous hair style which makes the men look very stylish and elegant.
A Fofa is a type of hairstyle, short to medium length on the sides and back, with a receding hairline from the forehead back due to a natural baldness. Usually found on distinguished gentlemen and derived from the style of monks.It is usually found in older men, because they experience hair loss. It will be usually accompanied by lighter ,white, or grey hair.
My hair lengh is very long till my knee, straight, and medium texture.
Layered hair cuts are one of the most suitable haircuts for short to medium length soft curly hair. It is easier to maintain and give your curls a good structure.
A medium hair cut is perfect for any occasion, requires a little fixing, but always provides a great look because of the variety of styles each cut can evolve to.
This straight medium style with textured tousled edges is the perfect look for a high fashion vixen.
This style will work best on medium to thick hair types.
This style generally works best on hair that is shoulder length or longer with medium thickness
The medium layers suit any face shape.

Medulla：髓質層

The medulla is the hollow canal that appears in the very center of the hair shaft. It is not known to serve any specific purpose re. the hair's overall strength or appearance.
The hair shaft is made up of dead, hard protein called keratin in three layers. The inner layer is called the medulla and may not be present. The next layer is the cortex and the outer layer is the cuticle.
There are pigment cells that are distributed throughout the cortex and medulla giving the hair it's characteristic color.
The medulla is also called the pith or marrow of the hair. It is composed of round cells, two to five rows across.
Thick or coarse hair usually contains a medulla. Fine hair for the most part lacks a medulla, as does naturally blonde hair. The purpose of the medulla has not yet been determined.
The cuticle is the protective barrier for the cortex and the medulla.
Medulla – the marrow in the various bone cavities; the pith of the hair
The medulla is easily identified as a pale-staining, sometimes discontinuous line of cuboidal cells.
In human hair, the medulla may be as much as one third of the diameter of the hair fiber, and may be continuous, discontinuous, or fragmental.
The medulla may be only one or two cells in diameter, but it is present nonetheless.
The type of medulla present can vary even within the same hair.
The medulla is composed of large, loosely connected keratinized cells.
Large intra and intercellular air spaces in the medulla determine to a large extent the sheen and color tones of the hair by influencing the reflection of light. That is why hair color looks a lot different in sunlight than it does in the shade.

Melanins：麥拉寧(色素細胞)

Chemical characterization of hair melanins in various coat-color mutants of mice.
Melanins were isolated from dark and red human hair and complexed with copper ions at various pH values in a complexing medium.
There are two different melanins found in human hair, eumelanin and pheomelanin.
Natural hair colour comes from tiny pigment granules, melanins , found within the fibrous cortex layer of the hair.
A cell type called a melanocyte is responsible for the production of melanins within the root bulb of the hair

Metallic dyes：金屬性染料-- 金屬性染料中的主成份鉛，使用過多吸收過量，會造成鉛中毒。

Metallic dyes and vegetables dyes have been around a long time, but they do leave some unusual and unnatural tones in the hair.
Also known as metallic dyes, the gradual coloring dyes fall under the category of permanent hair coloring dyes, and they usually contain salts鹽 of lead鉛, bismuth(鉍), or silver(銀).
Do not attempt to color hair that has had henna or metallic dyes used on it.
The chemical reaction of cysteine and sulfur with the metallic dyes results in a characteristic smell.
After a few applications of the metallic dyes the hair changes from gray to yellow-brown to brown-black.
The color quality of metallic dyes on hair can be poor and unpredictable.
Professional products are available to remove the residues of metallic dyes from hair shafts, but the procedure can be very damaging to the hair.
Other than hair breakage and scalp irritation, metallic dyes do not usually have severe effects on health.
There are three kinds of permanent hair colourants: vegetable dyes such as henna, metallic dyes such as those used to gradually cover grey hair, and the aniline dyes or oxidation tints, which include most of the colourants used professionally in salons.
Metallic dyes and henna dyes cannot be removed from the hair.
Using other chemicals on hair treated with metallic dyes can cause negative chemical reactions that may include irreversable damage and breakage, uncorrectable unusual color changes, and even chemical burns.
Metal Salts in Hair Dyes Hair dyeing with metallic dyes is incompatible with permanent waving and coloring with the oxidation type of dyes.
Metallic dyes create an exothermic reaction when in contact with bleach. This can result in chemical burns to the scalp as well as severely damaged hair.
Vegetable dyes are easier to remove from the hair than metallic dyes, provided that the hair has been only colored one time with the dye.

Method：方法

A method for cutting hair which realizes a hairstyle to give a light appearance of movability and vividness by giving natural irregularities to length of the hair.
Usualy I get my haircut in the DIY method of standing in front of the mirror.
Using this haircut methodyou can take away a lot of unwanted volume from the hairstyle.

This basic layer demonstrates a simple method of working with over-direction on the outlines.

Middle fingers：中指

For side hairs, be sure to angle your index and middle fingers to follow the angle of your hair.
Grip the hairs between your index and middle fingers, just like for your fringe as it is for your fringe.
Pull the section on the right over the middle fingers and put it between the left index and middle fingers.
Twist your left hand clockwise and move the section between your left index and middle fingersto our right index and middle fingers.
Place the middle section of bangs between your horizontally placed index and middle fingers.

Middle section：中間的分區

The right section has to be crossed over the middle section so that the original right section becomes the middle section.
This process has to be continued by alternating the right and left sections over the middle section.
Collect the middle section and pull the hair tight.
Grasp middle section with your right middle finger and pull it so it passes behind right section.

Mobile design line：移動設計線

A mobile design line changes with each section, or even parting, of hair cut.
Use a mobile design line along the nape area with pivotal partings.
Continue working with a mobile design line until we reach the highest point of the ear.
Take pivotal partings while working from ear to ear, by using a mobile design line.
Use portion of previous parting as mobile design line.
Cut from center to one side, then other to establish mobile design line.

Mousse：慕絲（造型用品）

The look is styled by most likely using a mousse or gel product and blow-drying the hair using a flat-paddle .
Mousse can leave the hair sticky and crunchy if not dried with a blow-dryer or if too much is used.
Mousse is the most versatile styling product. It comes as a foam and can be used on wet or dry hair.
Mousse contain conditioning agents and protein to nurture and protect the hair.
Mousse are available in different strengths, designed to give soft to maximum holding power and can be used to lift flat roots or smooth frizz.
Mousse is a foamy setting product that is used on damp hair or between washes on dry hair.

Movement：活動,動作,移動

Longer layers give the hair height and movement.
Layers will also add shape and movement to a haircut.
You can still acheive texture and movement with a short hairstyle.
This style features layers cut all over to create movement and softness.
Your 0 degree hair cut, will give you no movement, it is a base line cut.
Your 90 degree hair cut, will give you layers and a lot of movement.
A great cut for fine hair should give you body, texture and movement.
A professional stylist should be aware of volume and depth, movement and direction, texture and definition.
The Helix Sculpting System uses specially designed tools (scissors) that cut spiral movement into each section of hair.
Longer hair won’t get lots of volume with layers; instead, it gets surface texture and movement.

Mullet：

Basically a mullet is a haircut that is short in the front, on the sides and on the top , but is always long in the neck - at least at shoulder length or preferably until the waist.
Mullet (haircut), a hairstyle that is short in the front, top, and sides, but long in the back.
If you have a "perfect" oval face shape you could go for a "Mullet" Short Bang which will harmonize perfectly with trendy Retro and Hippie Outfits.
The Mullet is the one haircut Americans love to hate -- and give funny names to.
Back in the 70's and 80's this culty haircut is also known as "Camero mullet," "Ape drape," "Hockey hair," "Schlong (short+long)" and "Sfelbie (SFLB - short front, long back)."
Mullets have always been very popular with Stars , musicians, sports fans and professional football- and ice hockey players.
In the eighties the Mullet frequently was combined with a perm.
A Mullet is a unisex hair style that is short in the front and long in the back, often referred to as "business in the front, party in the back".

Multiple design lines：多重設計線--在層次的連接上採用兩條以上的設計線。Two or more stationary design lines used with a conversion layering technique to achieve increase-layered texture.

I see it as multiple design lines done with horizontal hand positioning.
The exterior and the crest area of this asymmetrical style are sculpted using a slide cutting technique and multiple design lines on one side, which result in a length increase toward the back.
Continue to take vertical partings. Work with multiple design lines, shifting each new parting to the previous one and sculpt with the same procedure.

Mushroom cut：磨菇頭

The “Mushroom cut”you are referring to is also called a bowl cut, and features a weight-line that circumnavigates the perimeter of the head – usually at or just above the tops of the ears. The hair is usually combed smooth and parted in the center, or combed with no discernable parting (however is desired).
A shitte-cut is an extreme type of bowl-cut or mushroom cut which is very pronounced in shape.
A classic haircut with elements of a bob and a mushroom cut got an artistic make-over.
Bowl cut has inspired many other cuts like mushroom cut and undercut.
