　　以下是依據英文字首作分類，每個常見英文用語後面是對照的中譯用法，及英文單字相關的使用範例。內容若有錯誤，請不吝留言指教。

Double baseline 雙基準線

When hair cut, ask your stylist to cut hair cutting techniques with double the base line. technique that is a short cut on the inside and on the length of the outer.

Double bun：雙髮髻

A variation of that is the so called "double bun" which is popular in Japanese mangas連環漫畫冊 and animes動漫畫.
Learn how you can create a double bun in your hair using two braids.
A double bun is a little harder, but very pretty and unique.

Drab：黃褐色的,淺褐色的,灰黃色(Definition)-A shade which contains no red or gold tones.

Many factors may contribute to dull, drab hair so the first step is to determine the cause.
Dull, drab, lustreless hair may be caused by damage to the cuticle layer from excessive dryness.
Gray hair can be wiry, dry, coarse, and brittle—it needs constant maintenance with specialty products to keep it from looking dull and drab.
Most people think of dry, drab hair as only a summer problem from over exposure to the sun and chlorine in pools.
I started coloring my hair at the age of 13. I was bored with my drab hair color, and being a teenager, I was bored with life.
Highlighting can be the answer to a few gray hairs or to brighten drab hair color.
To drab hair means to remove red and gold tones from hair.

Drape：呈褶狀垂下;成褶襉狀

She is wearing a sophisticated long hairstyle with blonde waves that drape over the shoulders.
Use a tail comb to create a side part so your hair would drape over one eye.

Draw：劃,畫,繪製,描寫,吸引人的事物(或人),作出,形成

I need a hairstyle that would draw attention to my eyes.
This will help you get a better idea of how to draw different types of hairstyles.
A haircut that is clipped to fall at the jaw or chin will draw attention to any extra flesh you have.
Add the hair color and draw with the brush the shape of the haircut.
Draw another diagonal line from the reference point to the outside of the right eye creating a triangle in the top front area of the head.

Dreadlocks：長髮綹(通常藏在毛帽下);細髮辮,未梳理的亂髮串：

Dreadlocks are the one type of African American hairstyle.
Dreadlocks or "dreads" is a style that involves coiling, tangling or "locking" the hair together.
Dreadlocks cannot be combed out and can only be cut off.
Dreadlocks are a sign of pride and cultural individuality of black people.

Dry cutting 乾剪

While dry cutting hasn't become mainstream, meaning the local chain hair salon will not offer the technique, more and more stylists are picking up on the trend.
There are variations to the dry cutting technique. Some stylists prefer to do the initial cut when wet, then complete the cut once the hair has been dried and styled.
Dry cutting allows freedom of expression whereas in wet cutting the moistened hair carries too much weight to realistically allow the fingers to feel while cutting.
Dry cutting takes away the need to constantly learn from tutors who claim to teach a new ways of creating the same usual haircuts.
In a real world where everyone has so varied a texture and volume of hair dry cutting is the best technique to apply.
Dry cutting can be an effective way to shorten the styling time and get a cut that is true to the practice, whereas wet cutting of the hair can be an effective way to get a concise haircut.
Dry cutting is the only way I have my hair cut, it turns out so much better. It's because they're able to see the curl pattern better when it's dry, not to mention the shrinkage factor.
The haircut is rushed and the stylist does not have ample time for cross checking and dry cutting, which is when the real transformation happens.

Dye 染料,染色,把...染上顏色,被染色

Semi-permanent hair dye has smaller molecules than temporary dyes.
Black hair dye can be a challenge to remove from your hair.
Hair dye is a special type of dye, used to color the hair.
Semi-permanent hair dye has smaller pigment molecules than temporary hair dye.
Also known as metallic dyes, the gradual coloring dyes fall under the category of permanent hair coloring dyes, and they usually contain salts鹽 of lead鉛, bismuth(鉍), or silver(銀).
Do not attempt to color hair that has had henna or metallic dyes used on it.
The chemical reaction of cysteine and sulfur with the metallic dyes results in a characteristic smell.
After a few applications of the metallic dyes the hair changes from gray to yellow-brown to brown-black.
The color quality of metallic dyes on hair can be poor and unpredictable.
Professional products are available to remove the residues of metallic dyes from hair shafts, but the procedure can be very damaging to the hair.
Other than hair breakage and scalp irritation, metallic dyes do not usually have severe effects on health.
There are three kinds of permanent hair colourants: vegetable dyes such as henna, metallic dyes such as those used to gradually cover grey hair, and the aniline dyes or oxidation tints, which include most of the colourants used professionally in salons.
Metallic dyes and henna dyes cannot be removed from the hair.
Using other chemicals on hair treated with metallic dyes can cause negative chemical reactions that may include irreversable damage and breakage, uncorrectable unusual color changes, and even chemical burns.
Metal Salts in Hair dyes Hair dyeing with metallic dyes is incompatible with permanent waving and coloring with the oxidation type of dyes.
Metallic dyes create an exothermic reaction when in contact with bleach. This can result in chemical burns to the scalp as well as severely damaged hair.
Vegetable dyes are easier to remove from the hair than metallic dyes, provided that the hair has been only colored one time with the dye.
